because like, for real though. how many have scott and stiles done this, MUST scott and stiles have done this, over the course of their shared childhoodS? like EVEN OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF THE SHOW, how many times did little!scott, exuberant in his affection, tackle-hug little!stiles in like, THE MIDDLE OF A GAME OF MONOPOLY, or that kiddie soccer team they both played on when they were seven after scott scored his first and only  goal of the season

and like. I KNOW IT’S DYLAN BUT IT’S STILES IN MY HEAD BECAUSE LOOK HOW FUCKING HAPPY HE IS AT SEEING SCOTT BE SCOTT, BECAUSE AFTER ALL THIS AWFUL SHIT AND ALL THESE AWFUL MONTHS AND ALL THESE CHANGES SCOTT IS STILL SCOTT, STILL OPEN AND WARM AND DICKING AROUND LIKE AN ASSHOLE, PROMISING NO WOLF POWERS AND THEN USING THEM ANYWAY AND TURNING IT INTO A REASON TO MAKE STILES GRIN AND CATCH HIM BEFORE THEY BOTH FALL DOWN, TO MAKE HIM FEEL LIKE HE’S STILL STILES, EVEN THOUGH SOMETIMES HE FEELS LIKE HE ISN’T

and how at the end of the day they are always for each other and it doesn’t matter if you’re writing it as a romantic pairing or as the brotherhood that’s so clear between them or both because that is always true. they are always for each other, scott and stiles, always on each others’ side, because nobody else knows either one of them, could ever fully know either one of them, they way they know each other, and that will always be true no matter how old they get and no matter how fucked up and ridiculous things are and just sob sob sob right in my feelings oh my god
