“I just learned what “shipping” was. (laughs) It’s when they put two different characters together that really shouldn’t be together. So I guess the fans really like Stiles and Derek together. So I think that’s been the biggest response to far. It’s very odd! Our fans are a little peculiar sometimes, but I don’t know. I think, there’s a lot more to the show than that! (laughs) You know there’s a lot of stuff that happened this season that I think some of the fans missed. We have a very funny fan base you know? But yeah, the show was really really good this season…”

Even Tyler sees what is going on here. It is sad to see that people only seem to care only about Sterek lately when there actually is more to Teen Wolf than just Sterek. I feel like that’s all that people care about lately is Sterek Sterek Sterek. There actually is a great show with some awesome writing from Jeff and some terrific acting from the actors and not just about 2 totally opposite guys who actually don’t like each other but people ship them like crazy. I just feel like this Sterek stuff is overshadowing the actual show here. I know people want this to be canon and to actually happen but we do need to realize that there is an actual show and it’s not just about Stiles and Derek. It’s sad that even the cast and the lead of this show even sees what is going on here.

I wonder if there’s a little ‘assuming everyone else is talking about it’ going on and a little ‘catch the squee before it moves on’. Idk, I’ve always encouraged that people talk about the show itself to Jeff Davis as well as Sterek, if they’re going to bring up the ship, but… I’m not sure how much that actually happens.
It is quite sad tho, if the rest of cast/production kinda feels lost against all this hype over two characters. (But speaking of Scott himself, that ‘master’ plan came from NOWHERE, and I really do think it could have been better foreshadowed. And S1 did him no favors.)
